Cat found yoga her junior year in college when she discovered taking three hot yoga classes a day allowed her to get wine drunk a little bit faster. It was great! She rediscovered yoga her senior year in college while studying abroad in London. She wanted her experience abroad to be a time to travel, meet people, and not do any real work. She took the easiest classes possible - one of them being "Yoga" and another being "Women's Studies" where she wrote her final paper on Lady Gaga. Her experience abroad changed her perspective on life. Growing up with strict, Catholic, Filipino parents, Cat was really good at getting straight A's, being a nice daughter, and working really hard. It was only during this time away in London that she really felt free and capable of doing anything. She saw that life didn't have to be all A's and working the 9 to 5. It could be whatever it is she wanted! Having really enjoyed yoga, and impulsively deciding to throw her PR and Advertising college dreams away - Cat decided that when she got back to Chicago she would become a Yoga Teacher and she's never looked back since.
